Terms of Use

1. Service Description

GetSparked is an unincorporated community run by the founders of GetSparked, reachable at members@getsparked.ai. Membership is a voluntary arrangement between the community and its members. These terms apply to your use of the GetSparked website and community services.

GetSparked is a private network in Europe for people who build, run, research or fund AI. Members include founders and CEOs, CTOs and engineers, academics and PhDs, and investors and VCs.

The core of the community is a private WhatsApp group. Membership is by application and invitation. The founders review applications. Applying does not guarantee admission.

Members discuss AI, share introductions and deal flow, and meet at member events in European cities. The weekly digest summarises group discussions. Members and non-members can subscribe to receive it by email. Email subscriptions require confirmation through double opt-in. You can unsubscribe through the link in every newsletter email or by contacting members@getsparked.ai.

We do not sell AI tools or provide investment or financial advice. Participation does not guarantee introductions, deals or funding.

2. Community and Content

Members can take part in group discussions and member events. Visitors can access publicly available content and subscribe to the digest. You agree not to:

  • Post unlawful, misleading or inappropriate content.
  • Share another person’s confidential information or material that you do not have permission to share.
  • Export or share other members’ private messages outside the group without their permission.
  • Use the community for spam, commercial solicitation or self-promotion without approval.
  • Interfere with the website or its communication channels.

We may remove content or restrict a member’s access if they breach these rules or harm the community. You can end your membership by contacting members@getsparked.ai.

We do not export or share member messages. The weekly digest summarises discussions without naming members unless they have agreed. The digest can be read by non-members.

3. Intellectual Property

GetSparked owns the rights to the website text, visuals, brand elements and layout that we create. Third-party logos, trademarks and materials remain the property of their owners. Members retain their rights in their own contributions.

You may share or link to public website content for personal, non-commercial purposes. Other reproduction, scraping or redistribution requires written permission, except where the law allows it. This permission does not extend to private group messages or confidential material.

GetSparked builds and hosts the website itself on a server in Germany provided by Hetzner. We use Resend to send email. Forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection, which loads only with the form. Google Analytics loads only after you consent in the banner. You can change that choice through the “Cookies” link in the footer.

The private community group runs on WhatsApp. WhatsApp/Meta processes messages under its own terms and privacy policy. Your use of WhatsApp is also subject to those terms.

The website may link to other services, including event registration pages and partner websites. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their content, security or availability.

5. Liability Disclaimer

We aim to keep our information accurate, but we cannot guarantee that website or member content is complete, accurate or current. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the website or community services.

You are responsible for assessing shared information and making your own decisions. Member views are their own and do not necessarily represent GetSparked. Information shared in the community is not personalised investment or financial advice.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from your use of the website, participation in events or reliance on shared information. This does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, or liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence. Your mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.

6. Modifications

We may revise these terms as our services change. We publish the revised terms on this page with their updated date. We will notify members of material changes before they take effect where required by law. If a change requires your agreement, we will ask for it.

Subject to those requirements, continued use after revised terms take effect indicates acceptance. If you do not agree, you can stop using the services and end your membership by contacting members@getsparked.ai.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Disputes are subject to the competent courts of Amsterdam, except where mandatory law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. These terms do not limit any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
